In late December professionals from the International Cooperation Depository Fund (Sparkasse) organized and executed a two-day, interactive training for two of ECF’s beneficiary communities in Azerbaijan; Gonaghkend Tabiat Dostlari and Khinalig Tabiat Dostlari communities.

The final months of 2018 were busy and eventful for ECF Georgia. On December 14th a signing ceremony was held at Hotel Courtyard Marriott in Tbilisi to celebrate and finalize the signing of two conservation agreements.

On December 9, 2018 the village communities of Qalayhudat, Khinalig, Hapit and Alik, gathered in the Guba region of Azerbaijan to participate in a presentation and awards meeting. This meeting was, in part, a celebration of the successful implementation of ECF’s Financial Participatory Approach (FPA) tool as a framework for nature conservation in the area. Armenia’s ECF team is excited to announce that WWF Armenia's Save the Earthbeat visual campaign was announced as a winner in the Yerevan Advertising Festival in the category of Best Social Advertisement of 2018 in Armenia.
