IUCN's Panorama platform published ECF projects

Panorama; Solutions for a Healthy Planet, is a partnership initiative used to document and promote examples of inspiring, replicable solutions across a range of conservation and sustainable development topics.

The online platform acts as a tool for practitioners to share and reflect on their experiences, increase recognition for successful work, and to learn how similar challenges have been approached addressed around the world.

Panorama aims to identify the best local and regional solutions,

and promote them for learning at a global level.

ECF submitted the following three separate projects underPanorama’s Full Solution portal:

A Panorama Full Solution is basically a case study which identifies replicable or key success factors which they call "building blocks."Solutions communicate specific, applied examples of successful processes or approaches. They typically encompass several steps or phases of activities and can act as toolboxes that can be leveraged and inspire learning across geographies and themes.

Building Blocks for ECF programme in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan

Panorama’s Solutions must:

  • Respond to challenges to sustainable development and human wellbeing and contribute to maintaining or improving the health of biodiversity and ecosystems, helping to achieve the Aichi Targets of the of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and several Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.

  • Demonstrate a positive impact for nature conservation and/or sustainable development.

  • Consist of elements that can potentially be replicated in other geographic, social or sectorial contexts.

ECF is excited about sharing the key points and building blocks of their successful programme in the Caucasus with the wider conservation and sustainable development community.
